THE POSITION

If so, apply for this Artist Illustrator 2 position where you will creatively design, typeset and layout forms, brochures, pamphlets and similar materials for print, internet (PDF), and web. You will provide printed and electronic materials to keep the Department running smoothly and communicate with its customers. Apply today!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you must be proficient in graphic design software applications and knowledgeable of printing – single color to full color processes and have good design skills. You will collaborate with other designers and work independently to create effective and eye-catching images/documents for PennDOT’s internal and external collateral materials for print and digital platforms. These items include but are not limited to typesetting of forms, publications, fillable PDFs, logos, info-graphics, digital illustrations, photo retouching, signage, banners, brochures, mailers, Annual Reports, and various materials. Full-time employment.
Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years as an Artist Illustrator I; or three years of progressively responsible art experience, including illustration preparation and general display and exhibits work; and two years of formal training in fine arts or design. Appropriate art experience may be substituted for the required training on a year-for-year basis.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
