Orion Talent, the nation’s largest military recruiting firm, is currently recruiting transitioning or former military professionals for Business Development Specialist positions with a world leader in the development and manufacture of heat transfer fluids and related equipment and services.

Position Details

Location: Allentown, PA

Salary: $60K-$65K base; 2% commission (Average $80K-$100K W-2 first year; No cap on commission)

Annual Christmas Bonus

Schedule: Mon-Fri

Travel: Based on individual drive for sales; Your success revolves around how best you serve your clients; Some mandatory with trade shows, etc.

Position Description
As a Business Development Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

Responsible for developing sales in the designated target market(s) by identifying new sales opportunities with prospective customers by cold calling, premise visits, networking, lead generation, proposal submission, and customer appointments.
Acquire new business within accounts that have not previously or are not currently doing business.
Develop and implement sales plans that provide clearly defined strategies, tactics, and time frames to maximize revenue. Take ownership of the geographic territory or the market segment as designated by management.
After winning new business, manage customer relationships in order to gain strategic positioning with decision makers, retain existing revenue and obtain additional business.
Continually learn and develop knowledge of new technologies and selling points including enhancing expertise in the company’s products and services.
Position Requirements

Associate or Bachelor’s degree.
Prior chemical industry sales or work experience preferred.
Experience in identifying and working with key decision makers, such as engineers who specify products, purchasing, and key executives
Time management skills with a focus on ROI and instinctive delegation.
Proficient with contemporary research and analysis tools.
Exemplifies self-directed and focused work ethic.
Professional business correspondence and presentation skills.
Proven account profiling and qualification ability.
