FOOD SERVICES SUPERVISOR – Greenwood Care, Evanston, IL
Greenwood Care, a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMHRF), in Evanston, IL
Seeks a Full Time Food Services Supervisor. This is a Salaried Position with a Full Benefit Package, including 401k w/Company Match, Choice of Health Insurance plans, Health Savings Account, and Much More!
Greenwood Care is accredited by the Joint Commission and licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDHP). We are dedicated to the treatment, recovery, and rehabilitation of individuals affected by chronic psychiatric illnesses. Located in a residential housing setting in beautiful Evanston, Illinois, we treat a variety of conditions, including mood disorders, psychotic disorders, as well as those who are dually diagnosed with a mental illness and substance use disorders. Responsibilities of the Food Services Supervisor:

Ensure the use of standardized recipes in food preparation
Establish dietary policies in conjunction with the Dietary Consultant
Order all food and kitchen supplies
Supervise the receipt and storage of kitchen deliveries
Oversee and control food and labor costs Ensure proper maintenance of all food service equipment
Maintain an organized, safe storage room

of the Food Services Supervisor

B.S. in Foods and Nutrition
Graduation from a course in Food Service supervision or other course in Food Service Supervision, 90 or more hours in classroom instruction, as well as on-the-job counseling by a Dietitian
CDM (Certified Dietary Manager) Certification or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire
Sanitation Certification
Strong administrative, managerial and interpersonal skills
Experience in a long-term care and/or healthcare facility preferred
Maintain confidentiality of residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA

Must have compassion, tolerance and understanding for adults with psychiatric disorders
