TITLE: Marketing & Public Relations Consultant
LOCATION: near Gratiot, Ohio
Are you considering a career change? Looking for a smaller community(25K population), that offers a low cost of living(18% lower than US average) and plenty of activities in the area but is within an hour of a large city.If so, an opportunity exists to work with an integrated health care system based in east central Ohio who is looking for someone to join their team.
The system is a not-for-profit and has over 300 physicians and multiple outpatient care centers throughout the area.The system is the largest provider in a six county region and a primary referral center. It offers a higher level of service than what is typically found in a community of its size including open-heart surgery, trauma care, a Level II neonatal intermediate care unit, neurosurgery and comprehensive cancer services. They are proud of their rich history of serving the community and vow to continue the tradition of healing and caring with compassion, trust, innovation and excellence.
SUMMARY: Develops, oversees and implements public relations and marketing communication plans and projects to support the organization’s culture and goals, and provides daily oversight for the management of content for assigned web sites and web tools. Develops concepts and copy for public relations and marketing materials including newsletters, magazines, fliers and brochures and participates in planning and implement of special events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: -Develops and implements marketing/public relations communication plans and projects to support the organization’s goals.-Maintains assigned web site(s), ensuring standards for timeliness, accuracy and quality are met and copy meets standards for suitability and optimization for the online environment, and consistency of style, tone, messaging, and relevancy.-Acts as web “master,” for assigned web site(s), receiving initial comments, complaints and questions regarding the website and relaying them for resolution as appropriate and in keeping with policy.-Completes the writing and production of select individual web pages to convey corporate information in a clear and visually appealing way and manages content of corporate areas of web site(s).-Develops overall concept and writes copy for public relations and marketing materials, and coordinates production with appropriate team members, including newsletters, promotional fliers, web site, magazine, blogs, brochures, videos, etc.-Provides guidance and recommendations to organization contacts for the most effective marketing,/public relations communication approaches-Maintains project records and monitors project budgets-Participates in planning, oversight and execution of special events, activities and programming.-May coordinate media interviews with appropriate organization contacts, write news releases provide background information to reporters and recommend talking points/key points for organizational contacts.-Completes other marketing, public relations and communications projects as assigned.
Qualifications: -Bachelor’s degree in communications-related field including public relations, marketing or journalism.-Five (5) years experience developing marketing and public relations literature, and communications planning.-At least some prior experience supervising/leading a team of communications professionals.-Strategic thinker and superior verbal and written communicator.-Knowledge of Associated Press (AP) writing style.
Other info: Reports to Marketing & PR Director Full time, day shift 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday. Must be detail-oriented with superior project management skills.Must be able to demonstrate website development experience and use of social media. Person should be prepared to present a portfolio during the interview. Must have copy writing experience(able to provide brochures created, website pages, etc.) and show what you have done. The pay depends on experience but the range is $51,000 – $70,000. Someone with 10 years will be around $59,000 and they have a full benefit package.
