The* Shipping Manager* will be responsible for meeting all customer shipment requirements and will be leading all employees in the Shipping Department.

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities Required: *
*Lead and engage employees in an effective manner to maximize performance in accordance with company guidelines, policies, work rules and collective bargaining agreements.

Train employees on job assignments and safety as needed
Communicate to Director of Sales and staff material which is needed to complete shipments on a daily basis
Communicate shipping schedule and provide visual board for Shipping schedule
Analyze, quote trucking relationships to ensure efficient freight cost utilization
Coordinate with Maintenance Manager on repairs of machinery and equipment
Report all leaks to Maintenance and move all inventory and mark floors to prevent material from being stored in the wrong location.
Conduct all applicable processes in accordance with ISO/TS16949 procedures
Ensure that all finished goods are properly identified with Finished goods tags
Responsible for wrapping material for all customers
Assign Shippers Monthly to RP all Cold Rolled material to prevent rust.
Ensure Fans are on in Finished Goods areas during the spring time.
Coordinate with Quality on material which requires Final Inspection prior to shipping, and material returns
Ensure FIFO systems are in place, watch production schedule and move inventory up to decrease FIFO issues
Participate in the inventory process, electronic and physical for all materials and finished goods involved at MTW, Consignment Warehouses and Outside Processors
Control Secondary Inventory
Manage inventory at Outside processors to facilitate customer requirements

On-time delivery is approaching 100%
Expedited shipments or detention charges are reduced each quarter
Shipments are made in an efficient cost effective manner with weight maximization on trucks
Company Trucking is maximized and efficiently utilized
Overtime is kept to a minimum
Cost of quality due to Shipping is reduced quarterly
Maintain acceptable level on standards set for KPI’s
Work well with other departments to complete tasks

*Essential Qualifications: *

This position is accountable for the performance of hourly employees in shipping, receiving, and administrator position.
Must have a High School Diploma or better and 5 years experience in Shipping/Receiving Department and Supervisory experience.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Time management and organizational skilled required.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret legal documents, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information to, and respond to questions from management.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate amounts of percentages.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret and provide a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
DOT Compliance including Drug & Alcohol Awareness a plus, but not mandatory.
