SOX / Framework Lead Job Description:
As a member of the Finance Governance & Oversight Team, you will be part of the Corporate Controller’s Office within the Finance organization.
This role focuses on risk mitigation with financial and regulatory reporting to ensure execution in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.
It is important that the individual possesses strong risk management and communication skills to be able to challenge the effectiveness of processes and control frameworks over the critical financial and regulatory reporting areas.
The role will offer a mix of project work, support monthly & quarterly risk processes and reporting, and address special requests put forth by business partners and executive leadership across the bank as well as from external parties such as auditors and regulators.

Location: Hybrid Onsite – Pittsburgh (preferred); Atlanta, Birmingham, Gaithersburg, Cleveland, Jacksonville
Shift: Monday – Friday 7am -4pm or 8am – 5pm
Duration: 5+ months
Core Responsibilities:

Develop and oversee the FGO framework programs (ex: SOX, Basel, Liquidity, CCAR)
Set Framework Methodologies and Expectations, including Materiality Thresholds & qualitative considerations
Perform 2LOD review, challenge, and document functions for FGO supported control frameworks.
Team consultation as needed for risks, issues, controls, certifications, and testing.
Ensure tasks/responsibilities are executed in a well-documented and auditable manner.
Communicate identified issues in a timely manner to management and appropriate governing Committees where applicable.
Ensure identified issues are being appropriately tracked/reported and addressed by Management with an effective and timely remediation plan.
Quarter and Year-End Reporting (10-Q & 10-K)
Issue Management – Complete and/or Review Framework (e.g., SOX) Issues
SOX Risk Event Project – Review and Update key risk event supporting our SOX processes

Prefer 8+ years of Internal Audit or related compliance/risk or line of business experience (in any of the following areas:

Technology/Cyber/Security,
CCAR,
Capital Markets,
Liquidity,
Consumer/Commercial Banking,
Mortgage banking/consumer lending,
credit risk,
independent risk management,
asset management/investments/fiduciary,
SOX,
default management,
Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering,
broker dealer
commercial securities.

Education / Experience:

Bachelor’s – Accounting or Finance, preferred
5-10 yrs; MBA or CPA
Ability to act as a leader and reviewer of others’ work
Ability to work within a group/team setting as well as work independently.
Strong attention to detail
Analytical, risk management, and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Proactive, accountable, and dynamic in reacting to and managing through inevitable changes and challenges that are encountered.
